Meeting Concluded: 7:11
Attending:
Ashley Benteman – KE0IQV
Officer Reports:
President
● Jim presented to several organizations within Pottawatomie County. The Sheriff’s department has the most potential for co-operative events. They already have a ham radio and get calls to help with events that we could participate in. Jim will follow up with the under Sheriff, Shawn, about working together in the future and where he would like to go from there.
VP Report
● The repeater is functioning but Justin has not been available to work on the tones. Dave will continue to try to get together with Justin to work on it. Treasurer
● $1,059.95
○ Collected more money at this meeting. Updated total at the next meeting. Committee Reports:
● Joint Exercise (Green Apple Bikes)
○ Last event was Saturday November 4th. There were two teams that worked for 2 ½ hours and 30 bikes were recorded. It was a success.
○ Base station was set up in parking lot by Brew Brothers. The parking lot owner stopped by and did not have any objection with us setting up there but suggested that next time, we use a corner of the parking lot that is rarely used. ○ Final pick up of bikes for winter will be after Thanksgiving. ● Trailer
○ Jon and Ryan worked on the trailer for a weekend. The outriggers were braced and a piece of rope was added to the tower to stop it from descending too quickly.
○ The trailer worked well for the Green Apple Bikes event with Jon’s J-Pole at the top.
○ Dave, KD7QAS, from Clay Center has offered to sandblast the trailer if we pay for the sand and fuel.
○ Also, some steel needs replaced and a pulley needs to be moved. ● Events
○ No upcoming Events

New Business:
● Holiday Party
○ This party will be next month.
○ Determined a pot luck would work best. The main dish of meat will be done by Patti and/or Ashley and the club will authorize money for it’s purchase. Everyone else will be responsible for side dishes which can be bought or made at home. ○ Ashley will send out emails to vote on main dish meat type and set up a document to sign which side dishes are being brought so that there are not multiples.
● Liability Insurance for Trailer
○ The club should look into liability insurance for the trailer in case it fell over and damaged something. Myron and Dave have different insurances and will ask their agents for recommendations on the best kind of insurance to meet our needs.
○ We could look into event insurance as well.
● Dave, KD0AZG, will take over the Trusteeship from Mike, N0PVU.
