You do not need a licence, an antenna or a radio to come to a meeting. Membership is for when you want to stay.
Dues
- Regular membership — $20 a year.
- Full-time student — $10 a year.
- Family / household — $30 a year, covering two licensed adults and all licensed dependent children.
The membership year runs 1 November to 31 October. A first-year membership is prorated by the month — a practice the Society had followed informally for a decade and voted into the Standard Operating Procedures in November 2019.

How membership works
Membership begins when the Treasurer receives the appropriate dues. Dues are due and payable upon joining and thereafter annually before the first day of November of each successive year. Membership automatically ceases when dues are unpaid.

Dues once paid are not refundable, and a membership cannot be transferred. Withdrawal is by written notice to the Treasurer.
Starting
- Come to a meeting — second Friday, 6:30 P.M. Nobody will ask you for anything.
- Ask any officer for the current membership application form. The Treasurer takes dues at the meeting.
- Ask to be put on the Society email reflector. It is the official organ of the Society and it is where everything that matters is announced.

Not licensed yet?
Come anyway. Meetings are open to anyone interested in amateur radio, the Elmer Hour after the meeting exists precisely for people with questions, and the Society has run licence classes and volunteer examiner sessions for most of its life.
