Field Day
We have had a successful field day. This year we treated it as a mock emergency call out at Keats park. We had a preliminary score of 668 points and a great time. People were able to come with their own projects as well as try out HF for the first time.
Hamp Out
We will plan to have another ham camp out in September when the weather gets cooler. Fox Hunt
Our next fox hunt will be sometime in October. We are looking for volunteers to run it. Jason, KB0EOD, has volunteered to do a bbq after.
New Business
Kansas QSO Party
August 24-25th, Clay Center Amateur Radio Club will be hosting the Kansas QSO Party. There will be two stations; One at Dave Every’s house and the other will be ran by Ryan at the Clay County EOC. Ryan will be sending out an email to ask for volunteers as we get closer. Test Session
The next test session will be September 14 at 9am at the library
Learning CW
Kurt, AD0WE, discussed his experiences with learning CW and gave suggestions. As well as talked about his different projects.
