New Business:
● Vern with W0QQQ, Amateur Radio Club at Kansas State University ○ The club station is in good shape on the top level of Seaton Hall. They have a antenna farm with lots of different capabilities and lots of equipment. ○ They are looking for operators. There is nothing in particular planned at this time but they would like to extend the invitation for the future.
○ An event that they are planning on right now is “ARRL School Club Roundup” on October 15th. They have placed number 6 in the nation in the past.
■ There is more information attached to this document.
○ They could also schedule time for people to operate on equipment at their location. It would be a great opportunity to get on HF and they could schedule another operator to attend so that you can try out HF.
● Repeater
○ There was a lightning strike at the site. It came through the ATT landline with lots of damage to their equipment. However lightening did affect some of our control equipment and tripped a bunch of breakers. The repeater switched to running on the battery. There was no lasting damage. Everything has been fixed and it is running normally now.
