Cash in hand $53.00, Checking Account $578.59, and Savings $1,461.14 (Repeater Fund $461.14 and savings $1,000)
Incoming funds for August: $49.00 ($24 in dues and $25 donation) Known expenses for 2022: none
Old Business:
Repeater update: Ryan and Dave plan to correct the switching so the repeater will not come on unless the repeater hears the tone.
Fox Hunt: set for September 24th at Fairmont Park. Registration starts at 0900 and hunt begins at 0930. Club authorized the purchase of a FT65R radio for a prize at the cost of $65. Ham test: Next HAM testing is scheduled for September 17th at the Manhattan Library auditorium from 0900-1200.
New Business:
Fox Hunt luncheon: Those planning to attend the lunch following the fox hunt need to RSVP by September 20th with names, callsigns, phone number and total number of people attending for lunch headcount to KB0EOD@gmail.com.
This weekend September 17-18th is the ARRL calendar simplex exercise. Great opportunity to try and make some contacts.
New Ham Jumpstart Program: QRZ and GigaParts are giving an Explorer QRZ-1 handheld radio to new hams who have just obtained their first license from the FCC. Applicants must apply within 30 days of the license grant date per the FCC records. Apply at www.qrz.com/jumpstart. Dues renewal: Treasurer reminded everyone that to remain current, dues need to be renewed on October 31, 2022.
Motion was made to adjourn the meeting. Motion was seconded and passed. Next meeting is scheduled for October 14th at Keats Park.
Elmer Hour: Following the meeting, Jason, KB0EOD and Ryan, AD0TZ, conducted an informative hands on Fox Hunt Antenna Build class. Thank you both for all your hard work and time spent in preparing for the class!
