16 January 2024 is the date of the newest item of any kind in the Society’s web record — newsletter, minutes, treasurer’s report, news item or photograph.
This post exists to mark that, and to make the point the whole rebuild rests on. The site this one replaces carried no date on its front page. It looked exactly as current on its last day as it had on its first, while quietly describing a repeater on a tower it had left and a controller that had been removed.
The banner on the front page counts the days from this date. When somebody publishes again, the count resets on its own. Until then a visitor is told the truth immediately, instead of finding it out by driving to a meeting that has moved.
